How we got our name
The Holy Spirit gave me the name
Breath of Life
from Genesis 2:7.
It actually comes from something I’ve told myself for many
years, starting when my life wasn’t going so great and it looked (by physical
reasoning) that I was all alone.
Knowing that the Lord promises us that He will never leave us, I had to
conclude that my reasoning, thoughts, and feelings had to be wrong and that God
was faithful to me no matter what I felt like.
I knew
I could only deceive myself if I went by the circumstances around me, so I went
to the scriptures instead.
I remembered what Genesis 2:7 said about God giving man the breath of
life and he became a living being.
From that, I realized that if God gives the first breath of life to man, then every
breath I take is from God and actually a sign of His faithfulness to me.
All too often, we get caught up with looking for big “signs and
wonders” to see God moving in our lives when all you need to do is sit back,
take a deep breath and relax knowing it’s God who sustains us.
He’s the author of life.
He is life. How could we live
if He’s abandoned us? The truth is we can’t.
Therefore, we can conclude that He is always faithful to every man (person),
whether
they believe in Him or not.
Our mission is to take a
breath of fresh air to a dying world and show them the faithfulness of
the Father. I hope in
sharing a small bit of our vision with you that I’ve been able to give
you that same breath of fresh air.
God bless you.
In Christ,
